Name Reservation Information
Reservation Period
When you reserve a business name, it will be held exclusively for you for a period of 30 days. During this time, no other business can register using this name.
Important
You must complete your business registration within the 30-day reservation period, or the name will become available to others.
Extension Rules
If you need more time, you can apply for a one-time extension of your name reservation for an additional 30 days. The extension must be requested before the original reservation expires.
- Extension fee: TTD 15
- Maximum reservation period (including extension): 60 days
Name Guidelines
Acceptable Names
- Must be unique and distinguishable from existing names
- Can include your personal name
- Can include geographic locations
- Can include industry-specific terms
- Must include appropriate suffix (Ltd, Limited, Inc, etc.)
Prohibited Names
- Names suggesting government affiliation
- Names containing offensive language
- Names that are identical or too similar to existing businesses
- Names that infringe on trademarks
- Names that are misleading about the nature of the business
